Seit Februar 2007 gibt es den Lonely Planet Neuseeland auch in deutsch. Hier in einer brandneuen Überarbeitung von 2009.
Der Lonely Planet Neuseeland bietet auf seinen 860 Seiten viel Wichtiges und Wissenswertes zur Reisevorbereitung, zu Land and Leuten und zahlreiche Adressen zu Unterkünften und Aktivitäten, Tipps zum Transport und vieles mehr, wie man sie nun mal von einem Lonely Planet gewöhnt ist.

Wie bei allen Lonely Planets sollte man Preisangaben und sonstige aktuelle Hinweise unter dem Aspekt sehen, dass sie bei Drucklegung schon veraltet sein können. Dafür gibt es aber im Buch genügend Alternativen, wenn das vorgeschlagene Hostel zugemacht oder der tolle Club umgezogen ist oder geschlossen hat.
